We are a diverse group with a wide range of backgrounds. Professionals, farmers, teachers, nurses, homemakers, sales people, service industry workers, auto workers, graphic designers, carpenters, bee keepers, machine workers, social workers, counselors, heavy equipment operators, truck drivers, road workers, heating & air conditioning, weavers, electricians, postal workers, handymen, pest control, and others.
We have various backgrounds in faith as well: Free Methodist, Lutheran, Catholic, Mennonite, Assembly of God, Reformed, no affiliation and others.
In background, we may differ.....in purpose, we are ONE!
You may ask, "Would I be welcomed here?". I don't fit into any of the listed worshippers at Riverside.
We believe the above mentioned diversification should be pretty good evidence that you would be welcomed here at Riverside. Some may think that you must be "born" into a Mennonite church to associate with it! That is wrong and completly goes against our Mission Statement: "Know Christ and MAKE HIM KNOWN!". We would like the opportunity to prove that this is real! Come and visit with us.....YOU ARE WELCOME!
* Have you found yourself to be Spiritually overdrawn on your heavenly bank account? God is Holy, so God requires a certain balance in our virtue account and we are seriously overdrawn! What can be done?
You could make a few deposits...wave at your neighbor, compliment your husband, or go to church next Sunday, but Scripture tells us that "People cannot do any work that will make them right with God." Rom. 4:5
That's the problem. You are trying to justify your own statement. You're going to spend the rest of your days huffing and puffing to get to the drive-thru window before the bank closes. You are trying to justify an account you can't justify!
May we remind you of the gift of God's grace which has provisions for direct deposit into your heavenly bank account with all the virtue you will ever need to be in God's presence. In has been accomplished through the cross of Jesus Christ, God's only Son. He has paid our debt!
"It is God who justifies" Romans 8:33. Lookup John 3:16-17 or Romans 6:23
